This and That

I do my best to keep things upbeat here - it's a lot more fun to share the fun stuff than it is to complain about the tough stuff. But it's been a rough month or so. I know you all care - no need to comment. And things always get better. Suffice it to say, it's been a long, hot summer.

So what I've learned:

1. Water in an inflatable pool can do a world of good, even for grownups.
2. It's never too hot to read.
3. A messy house is not the end of the world - not even close.
4. There are never enough towels. Thank goodness for washing machines and dryers.
5. If you continue to refuse to intervene and expect adults to act like adults, they will sometimes hit the mark.
6. If you remember that the most important job you have to do is raise good, healthy kids, other stuff becomes a lot less important.

So let's see if I feel like this in another month. Who can tell?
